A Charleston Affair 2024

There are six ticket options available for guests to attend A Charleston Affair this year on May 4, 2024, 6:30-10 pm (VIP tickets) and 7-10 pm (General Admission). All food and beverages are included in your ticket. Early bird pricing is February 27 until March 27; regular pricing starts March 28. Your ticket includes a delectable spread of food and drinks. Dance under the oaks to the Fantasy band. Attendees must be ages 21 and up as of May 4, 2024. Attire is coat and tie/cocktail. The event will be held rain or shine and there are no refunds. Proceeds from A Charleston Affair ticket sales support the Alumni Association’s programs and scholarships for the College.

TICKET OPTIONS

There are a variety of ticket types available to A Charleston Affair for all tastes and budgets, ranging from General Admission to VIP upgrades, which is exactly what it sounds like. Tickets will sell out quickly, so purchase yours early.

Randolph Hall/All Access VIP Tickets, Annual Sponsors Only

Alumni Association Annual Sponsors receive exclusive access to the renowned Randolph Hall VIP area and portico, as well as access to the other four VIP areas and General Admission areas and amenities. Visit the Party at Peatsy’s VIP, 65 George Street VIP, Towell Library VIP, and Sottile House VIP. All VIP areas will feature premium open bars, delicious gourmet menus, air conditioning, and private restrooms..

Date & Time: Saturday, May 4, 6:30-10 pm
Location: All five VIP locations and General Admission areas
Entry Gate: VIP guests enter at the Cistern Yard Gate on St. Philip Street beginning at 6:30 pm. Pick up your VIP All Access name badge just inside the gate.
Tickets: $1,000 Friend Sponsorship includes two VIP All Access tickets to A Charleston and other Alumni Association sponsor benefits through December 31, 2024. Available while supplies last or until April 12, whichever comes first. Ticketing fees will be added at purchase.

(SOLD OUT) The Party at Peatsy’s VIP:

Your ticket provides exclusive access to the beautiful VIP area within the Rita Liddy Hollings ’58 Science Center, named for our beloved alumna, the late “Peatsy” Hollings, a renowned Washington hostess. Dance the night away to your favorite hits performed by The Coppertones and enjoy a delicious gourmet menu, a top-shelf open bar, air conditioning, and private restrooms. Includes access to all General Admission areas and amenities as well. Accessible for wheelchair users.

Location: Rita Liddy Hollings Science Center (former Physicians Auditorium location)
Entry Gate: VIP guests enter at the Cistern Yard Gate on St. Philip Street beginning at 6:30 pm. Pick up your Party at Peatsy’s name badge just inside the gate.
Tickets: $175 through March 27; $200 starting March 28. Ticketing fees will be added at purchase.

(SOLD OUT) 65 George Street VIP:

Your ticket provides exclusive access to the lush private courtyard and VIP lounge at 65 George Street, steps away from Cistern Yard. Enjoy a premium open bar and a gourmet menu featuring bespoke sushi crafted by award-winning Chef Masa Yamashita. 65 George Street VIP offers air conditioning and private restrooms, only steps away from Cistern Yard. Includes access to all General Admission areas and amenities as well. Accessible for wheelchair users.

(SOLD OUT) Towell Library VIP:

Your ticket provides exclusive access to the private VIP area inside historic Towell Library, in the heart of Cistern Yard. Enjoy a premium open bar, a gourmet menu, air conditioning, and private restrooms, just steps away from the dance floor. Includes access to all General Admission areas and amenities as well. Please note, the interior space is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Location: Towell Library in Cistern Yard
Entry Gate: VIP guests enter at the Cistern Yard Gate on St. Philip Street beginning at 6:30 pm. Pick up your Towell Library VIP name badge just inside the gate.

(SOLD OUT) Sottile House VIP:

Your ticket provides exclusive access to the private VIP area at the charming Sottile House and garden, steps away from Cistern Yard. Enjoy a premium open bar, a gourmet menu, air conditioning, and private restrooms, just steps away from Cistern Yard. Includes access to all General Admission areas and amenities as well. Please note, the interior space is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Location: Sottile House and Garden, 11 College Way
Entry Gate: VIP guests enter at the Cistern Yard Gate on St. Philip Street beginning at 6:30 pm. Pick up your Sottile House VIP name badge just inside the gate.
Tickets: $150 through March 27; $175 starting March 28. Ticketing fees will be added at purchase.

General Admission:

Stroll to your heart’s content from St. Philip to Coming Streets, and Green Way to Glebe Street. Wander into Cistern Yard to dance under the oaks to hits performed by the Fantasy Band. General Admission bars across campus have been upgraded to feature handcrafted cocktails and mocktails; Holy City, Revelry, and Michelob Ultra beers; and fine wines. Our official specialty drink of the evening, Frosé by The Co-Op, will be offered at the corner of Glebe and George Streets. Enjoy a brand-new gourmet menu created by Charleston Culinary Company Executive Chef Tonya Williams.

Location: Main campus between St. Philip and Coming Streets
Two Entry Gates: General Admission guests may enter at either the Coming Street and Green Way Gate or the St. Philip Street and Green Way Gate. Green Way is the pedestrian walk behind Randolph Hall that runs from Coming Street to St. Philip Street.
Tickets: $125 through March 27; $150 starting March 28. Ticketing fees will be added at purchase.
