2024 Spring Alumni Weekend Ticket Policies

Please read these ticket policies before making your purchase. By purchasing a ticket to an event, the purchaser agrees to abide by these policies and to make any guests aware of the policies as well:

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance through the George Street Box Office starting Feb. 27. No tickets will be sold at the door. Beware of purchasing tickets from third-party vendors or individuals you do not know personally.
  • All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. The event will be held rain or shine.
  • All guests must be ages 21 or older by May 4, 2024, and provide a valid, government-issued, photo identification to be admitted. Possession of a fake ID and underage consumption of alcohol are criminal offenses in South Carolina and violate the College of Charleston Code of Conduct.
  • Attire is coat-and-tie/cocktail. Think garden party or summer wedding. The event is held on a variety of uneven surfaces, so for your safety please wear comfortable shoes and avoid high or spiked heels.
  • The Clear Bag Policy is in effect for A Charleston Affair: https://bit.ly/CofCAACBP.
  • Proceeds from A Charleston Affair support the Alumni Association’s mission to serve the College of Charleston. At least $5 of each ticket purchase may be deductible for federal income tax purposes. Consult your tax professional for advice.
  • VIP tickets are non-transferable (must be used by the guest whose name is provided at the time of purchase). General Admission tickets are transferable; the name does NOT have to match the ticket. If A Charleston Affair guest is found inside a VIP area for which they do not have a ticket, they will be escorted by security from A Charleston Affair.
  • A Charleston Affair is drug, tobacco, and smoke-free. This includes cigars, vaping, etc.
  • Possessing or carrying a weapon onto any College of Charleston property is a violation of both state law and campus policy.
  • Early Bird Tickets go on sale February 27, 2024. Ticket prices will increase March 28, 2024, while supplies last.
  • Once a guest departs A Charleston Affair, re-entry is not permitted.
